Any IT company that has been in business for over 15 years can regale you with tales of data retrieved when all seemed lost or putting in the late night hours and weekends to restore a downed network with grit and engineering ingenuity. We too can attest to that and more. We have many symbols in our office that demonstrate our commitment, excellence and passion.

We chose "Shiner" our Apple Network Server 500/132 running AIX, circa 1996. The few who bought these units were the most serious and dedicated macophiles who had a deep belief in Apple's survival. For those with short-term memories, Apple was not always on top. They had their share of rough years in the mid to late 90's trying to transition MacClassic OS to a Unix-based OS. Shiner was the first and one of many attempts on the road to a better OS. There were not many of these systems ultimately made or sold. We are told less than a thousand. Today, however, this box stands as a status symbol and in some circles, a collector's item. We were one of the first to acquire a Shiner Server learn its intricacies and put it to work.
